What Ive learned by listening to your stuff is TIMING, PROFICIENCY ON YOUR INSTRUMENT, AND HAVING AN UNDERSTANDING OF THEORY N COMPOSITION is everything! All of these are great examples of what is important I think. Dynamics and MOVEMENT are so evident in this piece in particular. Lots and Lots of counterpoint, all so well produced its scary. But whats most evident about your music is how much you LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Its ALIVE and MOVING because of that love and beloved work.. you gotta lot of sweet sweat in your stuff man, and this piece screams LIFE IS GOOD! :-)

...and yet another masterful production from the SC elite! Man can you rip on that sax...wow...but there is so much more here...the cool changes in tonal fabric and the emotional hues. Everything so incredibly well played and produced. You are an amazing Indie artist Al.

Hi Al ...
You are very creative. Your music always captivates me and your talent is unequaled. Smooth, relaxing yet full of energy. Your mixing and production is equally good as your performance. Loved that short slap bass solo! Splendid!

Another great piece from your hand. This is so well produced and played, that it could be done in any professional studio.
The Jazzy/funky style is really hard to capture, if you are not really able to play it right, but you nail it perfectly. Really great stuff!

Monumental multi-instrumental work. Particularly love the sax from around 4:00 onwards. Top class.

Incredible intro that sets the mood for an infectius theme.Supercool theme!!! And then the sax enter with fast and complexed runs that takes your breath! Uber-outstanding performance here. Very good guitarwork - love that rytmic dampered picking.Impecable rhodes/acoustic-piano arangements.Slapbass also. Perfect layed out breaks.
Great outro too.
Loved every millisecond of this track!

Absolutely fitting the title "Between Moods"! :D
Elegance and smoothness, with a portion of high energy but wisely distributed all over the track. This is what I thought at first listening to...no need to describe the well weighted composition and arrangement, this is always impeccable my friend, no exceptions in your valuable works!!
Was fascinated from the blending between funky and jazz, although, neither a pure funky nor a pure Jazz work in my ears: it is....it is.....just Al!! This is your hand, your style, unmistakable professional and rich on high music level my friend. My favorite part at 3:00 what a change....towards to the rythm guitar riffs: funky funky funky..... Nice pulsating and distinctive, also thanks to the sax leads ( the real hot spots ) and brass ensamble in the end part .
Just as Bill wrote: "Impressive work from start to finish"! :)

Just listened to around 6 of your tracks starting with this one, not got the time to comment on the rest right now but Al this is brilliant ... intro just great, put me in mind of the Rippingtons and Mezzoforte SpecialFX. This is a masterpiece.

This one has a lot of class right off, then gets nice and sparkly as the solos and instruments intertwine and solidify the groove.
that Sax is really making a statement in this epic funk-fest.
Al, this is Jazzin' it up proper my friend!
JN Troyer said it all... See previous comment for my sentiment. :) Learned (and learning) a lot just from listening to your music. An education in fun. :)
