Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
Part one, is a straightforward enough instrumental piece using conventional 'Rock' instruments with the addition of the voice of William Burroughs. Part two however, dives headlong into the swirling realms of the 'avant garde' and Experimental Progressive Rock. Mid-period Soft Machine was an underlying influence in how this section was 'constructed'. In fact I believe Soft Machine (the band) chose their name due to their interest in William's work. . .so I've managed to bring those two elements together . . . neat eh ? ! :) Thanks go to William Burroughs for the use of his distinctive voice.

This is a lovely alternative arrangement, love the mix, fantastic work!!!
One heckuva ride! Great sounding snare, hypnotic guitar lines and effects, and an adventurous piece that keeps surprising.

Lots of great sounding instrumental elements combining in this sonic tapestry. The pace and evolution moves along well to keep interest and to draw you in. Nicely done bit of Avant Art David :)

I love the "off the wall" strange and quirkly vibe to this piece of music. That William Burroughs voice is great, and the music is perfect!! Very trippy and mesmeric - it has a kind of spaced out feel to it. Fantastic job on the keys and guitar. I really like this!

Part one, cool David Briggs signature guitars. Interesting use of William Burroughs speaking throughout. A highly arranged, well produced track. A kind of a hypnotic, indoctrinational vibe. You make very creative music David. I'm not familiar with Soft Machine, but yes indeed a "neat" track. I listened to the track twice - the 7 minute duration was not a problem for me. I've noticed that well arranged, long music, can move along nicely. Well done David!
