Lyrics
When the Time Comes Words and music by Paul Wilson copyright2014 1) When the time comes and I'm down to two or three. If I can look up while they're praying over me. It's you I hope that's standing there by me... So I can see, yeah I can see. 2) The one that stood by me in victory and defeats, While I was carving out the scars that ended up defining me. Who wouldn't listened to the scoffers and cheered on the team... And believed, believed in me. 3) I've danced with my demons, and I've prayed to many gods, Stood by in silence watched their rise and their fall. But in the end, I knew, goodness would prevail... And be strong, yeah be strong. 4) I stopped searching for redemption a long time ago, My dues are all paid, yeah they're paid up in full. I can look in the eye of all who care to stare... And I can smile, yeah I can smile. 5) This day may be close, it may be far, I'm not pushing the envelope or racing the car. But when it comes I'll go with a snarl... And a wink, yeah a wink. 6) But first I'll sing you one last sad cowboy song, One you never heard but could still sing along. I'll squeeze you hand and I'll kiss you goodbye... For a while, yeah just for a while. Instrumental) Tag) I stopped searching for redemption A long time ago.....
