I have been playing guitar for fifty plus years. Now that our band has disolved, the studio is where I can still find excitement in creating new music.
I scream
The sound of children’s laughter echo’s through the trees
It warms my heart to hear them, puts my mind at ease
I close my eyes and start to dream
To a simple time I hear a scream
Daddy push me on my bike he said are you ready son
Pretty soon I’m gonna let you go, you’ll be on your own
I screamed…………………………………………………. I did it dad
I recall the changes each year brought to me
A teenage boy the clearest day you could ever see
The oars would squeal as daddy rowed
So vivid now so long ago
Daddy’ putting bait on his hook he says watch me throw this son
Throw yours out, you’ll catch one , before this day is done
I screamed………………………………..I caught one dad
He died in his sleep one winter’s night never said good bye
He left me with such good memories there’s no need to cry but
I still scream…………………………………………..I love you dad
