Story behind the song

Found this oldie off a burned CD I recorded between 2001-2004.  I was pretty upset over a loss when I wrote most of these words down but didn't record if for a few more years.  The recording was just makeshift cuz I was smokin weed and wanted to lay down some verses.  I only had a cheap $8 Realistic mic (might have even been Emerson) in the house I was at so I blasted the effects way up to try and counter it. I didn't have any instrumentals or beats so I quickly looped up the song AFTERMATH by TRICKY check him out here:
