Sean Sellers:
I can't imagine what I could say today that could cause you to have any mercy on me whatsoever. But I know I didn't come here to ask for justice. I came here to beg for mercy.

We are shocked to find ourselves here in your presence pleading to you to allow the death sentence of Sean Sellers to go forward and allow him to be executed.

The passion is personal but a principle is being tested. Sean Sellers was 16 when he murdered. Nowhere else in the western world could a child who kills face the death penalty.

If a 16-year-old with malice, with intent, with premeditation kills another human being, that 16-year-old can under our system, and I think appropriately, forfeit his life.

I hate what I was, I will never be that person again, ever. I don't care if they kill me, I don't care if I life to be a thousand years old. I will never be what I was before because I hate what I did. I am so sorry for what I did.
