Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
This piece has been created and recorded exclusively for the very first Clickers Club Music Challenge (June 2014). All guitars were recorded direct to my PC via a Line 6 Pod (2.0) and into Adobe Audition (1.5), which is still my DAW of choice ! The 'weather girl' sample is of Jo Blythe - Granada Weather 11th.July 2013. Other samples I've used are ... seagulls, aeroplanes, Blackpool Tower Organ and of course a Mister Whippy ice cream van.

Only you could put Mr Whippy into a song!! This has everything - gorgeous guitars, perfect Ricky bass, superb melodies and an overall psychedelic vibe that does conjure up summer in a big way. Doesn't get better than this David - great piece of work :D

What a creative composition!!! Everything and I mean really everything, is so splendid developped and arranged to get a warm summer feeling!! The drums/bass lines are fantastic, guitars are the spice in the track, well performed and mixed down with a professional touch !! A special track indeed, I consider it one of the best of the evening!!! My compliments to you David! :)

Very Rocky and a bit dark in the first part. The theme is very clear, with a very strong guitar and bass work. Steady drums. The change into a weather forecast at 0:44 is a remarkable change and I like the sounds of sea and sea-gulls there. You have put surprising changes everywhere and always move back to the main theme. 2:40: The weather forecast with sea and sea-gulls are back. This could be a very nice live performance on the beach! Very good job!

Great summer theme sounds. Great guitar/bass work and variety here. Bass rocks. Hear a little Who influence in there? Get goose bumps starting at 4:14 with awesome guitar tremolo. Cool synth/keyboard effects. A variety of guitar styles - very impressive David! (7/1/14)Update: man that tremolo at 4:14 is kick a*s. Man, that's what it's all about. I've listened to this track a lot. Your lead guitar has a real nice tone. Great rhythm guitar as well. (Oh what the hay, nice bird calls at the end too ;-) ).

A very British Summer - all the sounds that remind me of the holiday season. Great job on the music, love the way the sounds and music work together to create a very unique track. Perfectly produced and arranged!
