Story behind the song
Sixty is not that to far off for me, the youngest of six, and so I penned this lyric. Floyd Jane, a talented performer / producer / singer using what the technology allows these days put this together. Thank you Floyd.
Lyrics
Turning Sixty [30.05.2014] [A] I'm turning sixty in a couple of years. Yet I still remember how seventeen feels. Man! Ain't it funny how quickly time's passed, and how closer I've gotten to livin' my last? [A] The youngest of six, four already there. No longer the same shape with thinning gray hair. I can remember when sixty seemed old. But now it's approaching should I hold em or fold? [B] The rules seemed to have changed, from the game I once knew. Summers seem shorter, days shorter too. Yet as I look back at how the years have flown. I wouldn't change anything thing I'm not alone. [A] I'm turning sixty where has the time gone? I'll join my brothers and sisters as we go on. As we grow older shouldn't time slow down? So whatever is left we'll all be around? [Tag] I'm turning sixty. Imagine that? Copyright © 2014 by Douglas Murphy / Floyd Jane
