Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
This piece started off as the backing track to what was to be another Big Sleep song. It was still waiting for some lyrics and a vocal track. However, as sometimes happens; recent events in the 'Political World' made me re-evaluate where I wanted to take this. I inserted the now famous Cuba Missile Crisis speech by the then US president John F Kennedy as the vocal track. The sentiments of his speech still ring true... frighteningly so.
Lyrics
No lyrics, I have used a sample of John F Kennedy's famous speech from the Cuba Missile Crisis of 1963.

Cool track David. Nice bass work and tone. You definitely have a unique, identifiable guitar voice as well. Nice production.

You got a well done and creative track here, David. The guitar and keyboards sound fine and the production with the JFK speech really makes one wonder...what if. Great job!

Yeah great piece, David, great piece indeed. The music is wonderful and adding the JFK speech is just inspired. Amazing guitars (as per) but I love the keyboard and synth parts in this - really well done and fabulous production. Loved it.

I remember that radio broadcast (yeah.. I'm that old..) and it suddenly made my young world a big and scary place.. we've lived in interesting times.. nice look back at what can be ahead, lets hope we've learned a few things, and not forget how close we are to the edge.

It's the first time I've heard anyone collab with JFK! Very skillfully put together and produced, love the guitar work...glad you took this track in another direction, it's a perfect job - great stuff.
