Story behind the song
I like it! :) FURTHER COMMENTS: I know what you was all doing. You was listening and just about to cry. Those tears were all welling up and then I hit that high note. AND YOU LAUGHED AT ME! I should point out that this note was the fault of hurricane Floyd that hit North Carolina just before I went over to record the album with Tommy. For this reason the piano had been flooded and was broken and out of tune beyond affordable repair. So we took it out of Tommy's house and down to the store. You can pick up video of me playing it on the back of the moving pick up truck while me Tommy and band friend Tony (the cuban from Florida) are rapping. Anywho, when we got it down the store it replaced the keyboard for all of our tunes on the album and was tuned from 60 cents out on the laptop whilst doing the recordings. Anywho, the keyboard still appears on the track "The Big One" that should be online soon. To cut to the chase (as I should be doing now), I recorded this song at 2 in the morning whilst Tommy slept in the store's and therefore band's bunk beds (a pair of shelves in a shop cabinet) that was right behind the piano. Well, can't ask for more detail then that. Enjoy. - Da Rockin' Leprechaun :)
