Lyrics
Appalachia Is My Name There is a place on God's creation A place with beauty beyond compare Some people say it's almost Heaven Look for me and you'll find me there You can find me on the highest mountain And you can find me in a black coal mine And I can be found in the deep, dark hollers In the wind that blows through the lonesome pine (Cho) I make my home in mountain people My spirit flowing in their veins My soul will live with them forever Appalachia is my name For many years I've roamed these mountains My life is older than the trees You can hear my voice in mountain music You can hear me whisper in a mountain breeze Strangers come to tell my story They think my mountain ways are strange They're gonna tell the world about me But they can't even pronounce my name DOC 11/29/12 by Alan Johnston

Ahhhh yes...i remember this one...and she's a gem. The intro is really neat...just whispers of the hollers. Great lyrics and your earthy vocal delivery is the soul. Love the production and dynamics in this tune...the arrangement is dramatic. Somehow you weave rock flavor into the fabric of many of your tunes. Subtle power. Cool.
