After guiding the careers of Pittsburgh's underground rappers AR Fizzy, Clyde D, and others, Stephon Devereux has decided to do what he taught most how to do. Rap again... And he's coming with some off the wall production... "I didn't want the radio... Meaning if it sounded like something like I heard on the radio. Toss it. I believe Music is about art... I was recording on peoples third floor with a mic. As long as it sounded good, I recorded." he said The concept of his music seems to be reflection and anger. With songs like D.T.H.P(Death To Hip Pop) and Piece of the pie, he opens up about what held him back for so long and changing the sound of Hip Hop. His song "This Love We Breed", shows his vulnerable side. As he opens up about falling in love... "I sat back and watched as Hip Hop went down the path of what happened to Rock in the 80's. Remember hair bands? Yea, that's what I'm talking about. It's sad to me what's happened to Hip Hop..." Stephon Devereux said. He believes it's more Hip Pop than Hip Hop... Now, after a 2 year lay off, his new music is well worth the listen. Sometimes the quality comes off crazy but it gives his music that raw, old school, hard to find feel. He says he's going to release a new single every week on Spotify. He feels he has a few more tricks up his sleeve...
