He compels his listeners with messages concerning personal and individual empowerment and the power and importance of each individual's Purpose. Story behind the song
The Love of Fate is based on 3 concepts: 1.The love of fate (Amor Fati) 2.The strength of Time 3.Long short life The love of Fate, is not only coming to a real-ization of what one's Purpose is in life given him by God, but also to embrace it and accept the good and the bad that required for Fulfilling it. Time, which happens to be my true hero, has the strength to continue forth, never looking back, and never waiting for neither me nor you in its relentless mode of going forward. The third and final concept is A Long Short Life. So often I've heard people as well as caught myself saying, "Damn, this has been the longest day of my life today." or "This week, month, or year won't ever end." Such thoughts are made in total ignorance, not knowing that our lives are nothing more than a blink when looked at from an eternal perspective.
Lyrics
The Love of Fate (A Long Short Life) By: Vigilante Verse1 My eyes close, A cinema dream Projected on eyelids, A sleeper's movie screen Life, the film I'm making, Opportunities not taken Regrets, let God foresak'em, What's tomorrow? I know it's hell, The unknown coin Thrown in the wishing well, I plea to time "Won't you wait for me? But it never does, It's a merciless fool (Can you hear me?), screams echo within we're laid to rest, at a days end, but then, we're reborn-see that sunrise take your time, wipe a tear, from yesterday's eyes Explode!, When you let it all go Do you have control? (Do you have control?)(Do you have control?) Let it go Chorus: Verse2 Lights flick on, My eyes peel I hear the flicking, Of an old time film reel Many speak, But will one listen Back to the womb I'm taken, I recall my first vision Never walkin, Cause you know I was runnin' The prophets all warned, this day was comin' Sleep not, A regretful sleep A miserable life, in the depths of hell is deep I never sleep, hell, I never sleep 'cause ever since, My bed was cursed And every morning I awoke, Seemed worse A tired heart, Is the one that fails The strength of time, Is the one which prevails I surpass them all, I surpass them all, I surpass them all Do you have control? Do you have control? Let it go, Let it all go Chorus Verse3 Doors slam, Lights flicker Yeah the air's thicker, It's getting bigger It's getting bigger and bigger, And now them lights Flicker quicker and quicker, Now get out But them doors are locked, You'd give your own life To make it all stop, Make it all stop Well I got news, It gets worse You're times little bitch, It keeps in check You forget I bet, Left alone and gone Left behind, Hurts like hell To get your ass, Kicked by time Look at the clock, And admire tonight Cause it's a long ass short life, It's a long ass short life It ends tonight, Do you have control? Do you have control? Let it go, Let It all go Chorus: Chorus: Amor fati The love of fate Take with me Every step I take The love of fate Amor fati The strength of time Dwells in me It's a long ass short life It's a long ass short life It's a long ass short life It ends tonight!
