Story behind the song
There was supposed to be a meteor shower one night but it was cloudy. I imagined what it would be like to actually see that shower and share it with someone else. Also about how sometimes certain things you see that others do not and how you can't even describe it because it is beyond words.
Lyrics
Shooting Star I try to say my words but they come out too slow And if I try again well you never really know for sure It’s just a bunch of words doesn’t mean a thing I put ‘em in a line to see what good they bring to me So listen to the music and look up at the night The stars are shining brightly And you’re making me feel alright When it only matters who you’re with And never where you are And time is moving quickly by I know You’re my shooting star The thought are coming fast and I reach into the past Another empty hand I can never make a moment last So look inside my mind it’s working overtime To pull this all together and make a little rhyme in time So listen to the music and look up at the night The stars are shining brightly And you’re making me feel alright When it only matters who you’re with And never where you are And time is moving quickly by I know You’re my shooting star So listen to the music and feel it all inside The cold it makes me shiver But you’re making me feel warm inside And the night goes on forever Tomorrow’s just too far I’m blinded by your light and I know You’re my shooting star
