Hello - I'm Bobby Nichols. I'm a singer/songwriter/musician/performer. Right now I'm trying to hone my skills as a songwriter while trying to maintain everything else. I live in Northeastern Wisconsin because I was born and raised here. It gets cold in the winter, but not real hot in the summer. There is anything that can bite you and kill you, and there aren't really any natural disasters to speak of. It is my dream to make it into the fold and be able to make enough money from songwriting where I could live a decent life without starving. This way I could be successful and still be able to stay out of the tabloids.

Story behind the song
I went to a co-write appointment with Jodie at 7 pm. We talked for about 4 hours and couldn't come up with any good ideas to write about. Just as I was about ready to write this off as just a visit, this song popped up out of the things we were talking about. I didn't get home until about 2 am, but we had a finished song. We did do some tweaking and rewriting, but most of what we had originally is still in it.
Lyrics
Two Houses Down Hannon/Nichols Sometimes my neighbor to the left is outside smoking cigarettes When I go out to mow my lawn And those people to my right sometimes fight 'til late at night And don't ask me who lives two houses down Pre-Chorus: What happened to those days when I was just a kid? Everyone knew everything that everybody did Chorus: We all grew up together and everything seemed better When I knew everyone for miles around Now I can't even tell you who lives two houses down When those maples lost their leaves, we raked all day for free ice cream And roamed the block 'till supper came around If the world was like that now, be a whole lot less to figure out Like who is living two houses down Pre-Chorus: Chorus: Bridge: After Church, We'd go to Grandma's place Grampa told us stories 'bout the good ol' days Chorus: (He said) We all grew up together and everything seemed better When I knew everyone for miles around Now I can't even tell you who lives two BLOCKS down © Jodie Hannon and Bobby Nichols Nov. 17, 2012
