I'm essentially a one-man home studio production unit. I write, play, sing, record, edit in my off-grid solar-powered rural home, and connect with the world via satellite internet. I can play several instruments, but dwell mostly on guitars, both electric and acoustic, 6-string, baritone, and bass.

Story behind the song
I bought the Rhythm Ranch from Norval and Cora McNeill in 1973. It had been Norval's parents' house. I recorded them telling their life stories in the mid-70s. I had excerpted this part before my Teac 4-track quit working. Years later, I mashed it with other sounds, including fiddle passages by Dominic Curley and Eric Campbell.
