Just a tune for my home town. Of interest to USA readers may be the fact that Arbroath is the site of the signing in 1320 of 'The Declaration Of Arbroath', in essence Scotland's declaration of independence. In 1734, a William Small was born nearby, later to become Professor of maths & philosophy in Virginia, one of his pupils being Thomas Jefferson who would go on to be co-author of the American declaration of independence. It is believed that the Arbroath document was influential in the drafting of the American declaration - the link to substantiate this certainly seems strong enough !
