Story behind the song
I was sitting at home one night, very tired when my daughter who was 16 at the time brought a friend home and said "Dad you've got to hear Helen sing!" I was tired and said "No, not now" but she insisted. I went to the piano and started playing some simple chords. Helen started singing and suddenly I was wide awake! OMG! What a voice. I knew I had to get her in my studio and so she recorded this track (Aliwu Mix) a few weeks later.
Lyrics
The lyrics are in Amharic - they are about the tears we cry for love.
