Adult contemporary with a little bit of bluesy music thrown in. I'm a one man band.
When I first got into writing and playing all I wanted to do was rock. I started getting ideas for soft songs and felt like there was no reason to let the inspiration pass. 'On The Trolley' is my outlet for softer songs. I have recently become interested in the blues, so I'll be working up some blues songs as well.

Lyrics
Well I'm sittin' here in this county jail With a drunk barmaid named Abigail She wants to get me a drink, she thinks she's still on the job When the sheriff walks over with a great big grin And says "Abby, you been drinkin' again?" "You best be careful, you're locked up with a bona fide outlaw." I say, "Sheriff you gotta listen to me," "This is a case of mistaken identity." He says, "I have it on good authority that you're Polecat Slim." Now, Polecat Slim he's a famous bank robber It's said he likes to romance the preacher's daughters No one's ever seen his face, but I tell ya, I'm not him (chorus 1) Gather your family 'round There's a party in town Come get a good look at him They've caught Polecat Slim He points to the bags of gold on his desk And says, "Son, that's what got you into this mess," "We found'em in your trunk when your train pulled in the station." "They're from a bank in San Antonio," "Slim robbed not even a month ago." "You're gonna make me famous, I'll be known throughout the nation." The sheriff starts'a polishin' his star Lights up a big ol' smelly cigar And kicks back in his chair, dreamin' of his impending celebrity A little fella walks in with a mask on his face Says, "Sure enough boys, this is the place." He pulls his gun and says, "Those bags belong to me." (chorus 2) You'd better get out of town There's some trouble goin' down Things are lookin' might grim For Polecat Slim A thug grabs the sheriff by the arm And says, "Relax and I won't do you no harm." And another thug starts loadin' the gold in a chest The skinny fella with the mask walks over to my cell Tips his hat. Says, "I hope you're doin' well," "I'm sorry we had to drag you into this." "But the authorities were hot on my tail," "And, well, I didn't wanna wind up in jail," "So I stashed my loot the first place I could find." He walks over to the sheriff, grabs the cell key Takes it off his best and he throws it to me Gives me a wink and says, "I reckoned you wouldn't mind." (chorus 3) The sheriff made a mistake He locked the wrong man away He'd better get out and start lookin' for him Polecat Slim's on the loose again
