Story behind the song
-In my old friend's house, we used to have to step outside to make a call on a cell phone because she lived in a basement apartment and we would get no signal. “I’m dead from the cold to hear your weak signal” speaks about when I would have to freeze in the winter time to talk to a friend of mine who never really showed he cared about me, but I would still show feelings of empathy towards him. “I am shit put me aside” describes how I felt about myself. “Fear no abductions” represents when I would occasionally walk home intoxicated and a so-called friend would worry about me being kidnapped or hurt along the way home. “Get together to numb the pain” is when friends get together to numb the pain of life with drugs.
