This is a great song that was 'covered' by The Dave Clarke Five . . . well, I liked the song so much when I heard it only recently, that I just had to record it myself, and give it the Major Snagg treatment !

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
A great song, which was written by Jackie DeShannon; she aklso wrote 'Needles and Pins' and a few other big hits from the sixties. This song suggested another melody to me :) so I've included that into this recording. I aimed to give it a 'live' feel, as if it was recorded during the roof top performance by The Beatles . . . a Happy song with a positive message

Very nice version. You know your way around the music from the late sixties. The psychedelic interlude is excellent, great vocals and the production is spot on! Is that a 12 string electric guitar I am hearing? I would love to own one, been wanting to since I first heard The Byrds playing :)

Well I was only aware of the Jackie Deshannon version of this and had to hear the DC5 version. They were excellent and so is this cover. You have followed the DC5 version and done an excellent job of it. Excellent vocals and now that I hear this and DC5 no surprise I am like these versions better than Jackie DeShannon. Very good. You put a nice John Lennon/Beatles ending to this ala Baby your a rich man love it. And a little Rain in the end? very good cover and making it your own

I remember the Jackie DeShannon version of this one. Love the way you've added the middle bit and made it psychedelic. Great retro sound/arrangement. Excellent interpretation.
