I met Bideew Bou Bess in Senegal and got to perform with them a few times in Dakar and on Goree Island (the ancient slave port) in 2013 on my trip there with Tony Vacca and the Senegal-America Project. They are very popular there and their audience is filled with screaming girls. They are visionary artists and are all about peace and love and social issues in their music.
