Fulani Bounce started as a violin riff that I wrote a few years back. It sounded very African to me but I didn't know what to do with it. I stashed it away and brought it out in my last trip to Senegal in Jan 2013. When I played it for my friends Massamba and Barou they started smiling and bopping around. I asked them what was up and they said it was an old Fulani song that they loved. Somehow I had written ("channeled") an old Fulani song. We all started playing it and having a great time. So I recorded it with them!
