Born and raised in West Africa by a Ghanian mother and a Sierra Leonean father, Gibril grew up on the West African coast (Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, and Benin). After witnessing the civil war in Togo his family moved him to Ghana to complete his secondary education (Achimota College, Adisadel College)... Fluent in English, French, Pijjin, Patois, Ga, Yoruba, and Twi, he started rhyming in classrooms and performing in high school... Gibril has been residing in the states since December of 2001.From the windy city of Chicago (Illinois), to Cincinnati (Ohio), to port- Gibson (Mississippi), and around the east coast he has been doing his thing show casing his talent. With an outburst of pure energy, charisma, knowledge, and skills he always brings a strong vibe across sending his message about African awareness, his journey and life experiences with the masses. Gibril is a multitalented and diverse artist with a multinational fan base. Gibril is all about promoting and improving the quality of hip-hop and life especially in AFRICA. My ultimate dream is to play a part in the movement to unite the African continent.that we as Africans shall stand as one people, join hands and fly one flag!!
