I searched the web for many years for strummers just like me
I had no luck the AGF was all that I could see
But then a site came into view which made my pulses race
some pluckers on the internet had started their own space
I started off just lurking and not posting any threads
Just watching what was going on, a ghost it could be said
Then a breakthough came I made a post and was instantly hooked
Now I can’t leave the forum, it appears my life is finished

A yearly meet came it is arranged in Yorkshire’s County fair
I travel up or is it down to meet my new friends there
Whether it is in Halifax or Hebden Bridge’s Dales
There’s English, Scottish, German folk… and even some from Wales
I‘ve not looked back or sideways since I met the folks on here
we go playing, talking, sharing songs and drinking lots of beer
