A powerful song of coming home into the arms of the Lord after wandering away through a desire to take care of ourselves and have control of our own life. This is a live recording from a recent concert at St Aidan's church in Hull.

Story behind the song
One of the ever-present truths of my Christian journey has been my instinct to try and do everything in my own strength and not put my trust and faith in Jesus. This song is about that moment of revelation ... when you hear the Lord asking you to come home because He loves, and you realise that you have wandered away from His presence - without really meaning to.
Lyrics
I thought I knew Your loving touch But there was emptiness inside In the darkness I could hide away from You As You drew near I thought that I could be so strong But I knew that I was wrong when I heard You say Come home, my child, come home Don’t let me fall again Don’t let me walk away I’m tearing down the barrier That would keep Your glory away Don’t let me go Don’t let me falter As I walk this glorious way I thought that You were in control But I still tried to do it all Just building up that wall to keep You out When You drew near Deep down I knew that I was lost But I never knew the cost until You said Come home, my child, come home Don’t let me fall again ...
