My first exposure to music besides radio and cds was at the age of 7 when my mom signed me up for violin lessons. I don't play strings anymore, but I picked up the Trumpet at the age of 8 and that was when my love for music developed into what it is now. At the age of 13, I started to experiment with FL studio (and started playing my horn across the city of Chicago). Now, I know "oh no, not FL", but I actually learned how to use it in depth, you know actually utilizing the piano roll, etc. - the right way to use the software. But to fast forward a little bit, at 17 I picked up trombone and started experimenting with Maschine. I couldn't afford it ha, so I would go to Guitar Center to try it out damn near every day. This is when I was in Nashville attending Nashville School of the Arts High School. (I'm from Chicago, but I moved during my Jr. year of HS - LONG story). I'm well versed I guess; I know the North and the South. More power to me right? But now, I own and possess a Maschine by Native Instruments. This is what I produce with.
