My Better Half
You might see me out downtown ,with my friends after work
Or someone might tell you they saw me smiling...at Sunday morning church
You might have heard that I've been going out...with someone new
Heard that I look happy....like I'm getting over you
But that's just my better half.....I'm not everything I seem
Cause underneath that....... half of me's still lost in your memories
Wishing you we're here, and things could be, the way they used to be
So don't think I've moved on because you see me ....crack a smile or laugh
That's just my better half
You might catch me on the lake..holding a ski rope or fishing pole
Or hear I came back with a tan, after a week I spent down on the coast
Or see me singing along to the radio, in my truck at a traffic light
And you might think that I'm ok , that I'm doing fine
But that's just my better half.....I'm not everything I seem
