As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I look around and I see that there’s nothing left
But through it all, I will fear no evil
And even though I’m weak still
I know that only the meek will, inherit the earth
I can’t forget this life’s worth, so I hunger and thirst,
thankful that He reversed this curse
I’m not alone I have a friend that’s always here,
No matter where I am, I know He’s always there
I’m not perfect, and I know I don’t deserve it
But I know that to Him, my whole life is worth it
He’s my shepherd, watching over me
Every step I take, I know that He can see
He’s leading me, guiding me, He’s at the side of me
He’s calling me, audibly, I hope I’m all I ought to be
I’m not all I want to be, is that all that I’m gonna be?
Either way I know, He’s right there in front of me
And when I fall He helps me back on my feet
And even in defeat He’s there till this life’s complete
Every single day, on my knees I pray
Father God, take this pain away
The guilt and the shame,
Don’t let me put out the flame
Keep me on the right track,
Give me the strength to fight back
Every step I take, every move I make
When I make mistakes, when I’m about to break
His love will never change, His love remains the same
No matter what, I know, I can call on His name
He’s there until the end, the most amazing friend
A love that’s only found in God, and not in men

It took so long to see, but now I have the key,
Before the seed was scattered, I wondered why it mattered
Why should he care if my life was shattered?
But now I know, that I got my whole life to live,
My life to give, cause my whole life is His
