Story behind the song
When you consider the fact that 90% of songs are written about romance and sex, you have to wonder why. It's obviously a safe and commercially viable topic. However, for me, my love life has never been that complicated. I think that if you're encountering as many complex anguish to ecstasy issues as what the music industry portrays, then you're doing something wrong :) There's a lot more going on in the world than people's love lives. Nevertheless, there's a place for a balanced number of love songs.
Lyrics
When I first laid eyes on you, you were the one for me We were meant to be, we'd set each other free In my heart there was a void that I knew you'd fill Forever and until our final breaths lay still I wanted so much to see you again To dine with me and be my friend And when I asked you You said yes I needed you to share my life, to live with me and be my wife And when I asked you You said yes
