Story behind the song
In 1985, I did a lot of reflection on the whole abortion issue. I took an honest look at my own reasonings, fears, and what really was the value of a human being. The song "Cries" was birthed out of it.
Lyrics
"I used to wonder about it; was it wrong, could it be right? Or was my reasoning just in selfish fright... ...When the cries got so real, it's really so much more than what you feel. So many, how we watched and let them die, and terminate another silent cry, and terminate another silent cry..."
