Story behind the song
I wrote the words to this just after my daughter was born. Unfortunately, I only just started playing guitar and only knew power/bar chords. I wrote some music, but it didn’t quite work. So I shelved it.
I came across the lyrics recently and wanted to see if I could write some new guitar for it. The capo is on the 3rd fret for this and I’m afraid it’s too high of a register for the vocal to be comfortable. I will probably re-do it and play around with it on the 1st and 2nd fret, or just without it. I think the “song” end of it is starting to come together though.
So this is just a demo at the moment, originally inspired by Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young”.
