Standing up for principles and convictions -standing our ground - standing up for the Lord
progressive pop jazz blues country christian contemporary melody celtic orchestral bible sax musette
Many genres, Contemporary Christian, Lyrics, instrumentals
I write my own songs ;) I have a very diverse taste in music, from Pop to Classical, including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Country, World Music (Celtic, Romanian), Old Timey Stringband/Bluegrass, and Latin. All these styles are in my Christian Contemporary catagory. I usually write the music first, and then put words to the music. Though I don't sing good enough yet, I though I would put my instrumentals out along with my music. Generally, I think my music/lyrics are getting better, being more skilled now than when I started.

Story behind the song
The story of the prophet Daniel is a lesson on how to stand.
Lyrics
Stand Stand fast in liberty Christ now has set us free Free from the power of our sin We stand firm with the Lord's full might Stand down, our flesh to fight Keep standing patiently to win Chorus: Stand, we shall stand in God's word and his son Against the cold winds, blow by blow Stand for the truth, not in part, but in whole We stand with the almighty One Stand firm in righteousness Don't trust in nothing less Keep in the Lord and you'll be wise Don't engage our old enemy Watch what your hearts can be Stand up against the devil's lies (chorus) Stand on the word, be brave Be steadfast in the faith Keep on believing, hold on fast For God's word proves as always sure His prophets always were True in the present and the past (chorus) Stand faithful, be approved No foes will make us move Keep working with the Lord in mind We shall stand grateful, be in awe Such beauty, what a draw Friend, Father, our defense on high (chorus) David Davis copyright 2013 http://postadavisongs.50webs.com/Stand.html
