Aspiring songwriters Terrill Coggins (lyricist) and Paul Curtis (musician) make up what is currently Project Destiny. Project Destiny is about the songwriting skills of these two childhood friends. With the intent to pitch their songs to a variety of singers Paul and Terrill have focused on trying to make a song as marketable as possible to reach an audience who appreciate the human journey and struggle each song delves into.

Story behind the song
Brad House and I wrote this song for a youth rally where I was speaking at. We gave it to Clark. Years later Clark was looking for a song to add to his "Warriors Cry" project and added his flare to this song. This became my first published writing!
Lyrics
Hear My Cry Verse 1: This valley gets so cold For a boy on his own. Poisoned dreams led me so far from home. My flesh was screaming for a chance to be free I wound up in chains all alone. Chorus: Hear my cry As I’m running to you. Won’t you give me shelter from the cold? In the darkest night I know everything’s alright If you hold me and don’t let me go. Verse 2: So many nights I spent with all this regret. I hate what my sin has done to me. Over and over again. So many days of wondering why Will my past ever let me be free? Bridge: My flesh was screaming for a chance to be free. I wound up in chains all alone. Naked and bruised I crawled back to you, You met me with a ring and a feast And welcomed me home… © 1990/2008 Coggins/Leach/House
