Aspiring songwriters Terrill Coggins (lyricist) and Paul Curtis (musician) make up what is currently Project Destiny. Project Destiny is about the songwriting skills of these two childhood friends. With the intent to pitch their songs to a variety of singers Paul and Terrill have focused on trying to make a song as marketable as possible to reach an audience who appreciate the human journey and struggle each song delves into.

Lyrics
Freedom Cries Verse 1: There's an empty place at this table With reservations made for two Another anniversary’s passing I'm here alone without you Our little girl turned seven her last birthday Babe, she looks just like you Your folks came by; they still check on us Just like they promised they’d do Pre Chorus: I smile and tell them I'm doing all right But the truth is I'm still caught in this fight Chorus: Freedom Cries Oh how Freedom Cries I know I gotta be strong Gotta dry my eyes But each and every day Freedom Cries Verse 2: When duty called our lives changed A separation, not by choice I'd give anything to hold you now I just need to hear your voice Pre Chorus: I smile and tell myself I'm doing all right But the truth is I'm still caught in this fight Freedom Cries. .. Bridge Do you think they understand sacrifice And that freedom isn't free? You're my hero till the end of time But I still need you here with me Freedom Cries... © 2013 Hendrix/Fletcher/Coggins
