I jokingly call this the lost single from the "Dark Side of the Moon" LP. It just sort of has a Floyd-ish feel to it, some great guitar licks and solid production work.
Dave and I met online in 2008, at a website design to create music in sort of a virtual studio. We first encountered each other on the websites forum, where Dave is currently a moderator, and things evolved from there. I had some health issues a year later and took some time off to get well, but Dave kept in touch and really helped me through a rough time. I came back to record I Woke up in your Dream, which was our first collaboration, and I believe the first time Dave had heard vocals with his music. We were both very happy with that song and continued to write together. Most of 2012 was again a hiatus for me, this time for personal reasons. During that time Dave continued to write and develop some production experience. He invited me in on Slow Song, a song for our troops, and almost a country ballad which was new to me. And Most recently we teamed up for The World I Know, which has done well in the charts but is a song we both felt was special from the onset. We plan on keeping the alliance as long as we're making good music.

Story behind the song
This was a song by Dave and myself that had a lot of collaborative work by John Tiger Ant (guitars, production) Joe Kenney (production). As soon as I heard the music I knew where I wanted to go with the lyrics and melody, Dave's music always illicits a strong response. I love Pink Floyd and this felt like I was listening to one of their tracks. Lyrics
Let me Sleep Music By: Dave Hensley Lyrics by: Ron Rentz Verse 1 There are watches there are clocks At Stonehenge a pile of rocks There’s computers and cell phones The world has twenty four time zones Each represents fifteen degrees Or just one hour if you please Exactly why do clocks have hands Along with time there comes demands And they will eat away your soul And your illusion of control Are you listening? Chorus Let me sleep…I beg of you just Let me sleep…per chance to dream Verse 2 There is no way to slow down, The speed of light the speed of sound And all the numbers you equate Become the very things you hate Think of all the time you spent Caught up in anger and resent You spent your spare time chasing wealth And never took time for yourself “Time is money” someone said But moneys worthless when your dead Were you listening? Chorus Let me sleep…I beg of you just Let me sleep…per chance to dream Lead Repeat chorus
