Lyrics
Fame’s A Sin (DeTrolio, Nattier) Red carpet fantasies, that’s a typical dream, But what it is, isn’t what they need Cocaine & limousines, every party’s a scar Paparazzi & shallow people’s hearts It’s a black masquerade, with cracks in the mansion walls There’s a fire all around ‘em and God won’t be comin’ at all, Oh no They never learn, always think they have to win, Till they feel the flames, and hear the violin… Fame’s A Sin Sign on the crooked line, pay a shrink to recline Buy a face & binge & purge & cry Help all your friends get high, spend a million for clothes Have a kid with some leech you hardly know It’s a black masquerade, with cracks in the mansion walls There’s a fire all around ‘em and God won’t be comin’ at all, Oh no They never learn, always think they have to win, Till they feel the flames, and hear the violin… Fame’s A Sin The life, the style, they’ve got it lookin’ soooo good… But you can call it Rock n’ Roll & Hollywood! (repeat chorus, end)
