Story behind the song
Written for a girl called Laura, I met in Oceana nightclub in Bristol 2nd March 2013, with her friend Claire. Classic missed chance and I would like to find her, if just to apologise and to let her know she has been the inspiration for a great song and to buy her a pair of boots!
Lyrics
Laura – Marcus F D Hicks Love was just a game I thought I could play But I got it wrong with you Dancing in the dark Your smile ignites a spark And it burns so bright, it burns so strong for you Laura, I wonder where you are tonight Laura, you’ve gone and set my heart alight I don’t know what to do Cos I really want to see you, I really want to see you again Yes I really want to see you, I really want to see you again The words I should have said Still echo round my head As I watch you go I don’t know what to do Laura, I wonder where you are tonight Laura, you’ve gone and set my heart alight I don’t know what to do Cos I really want to see you, I really want to see you again Yes I really want to see you, I really want to see you again The rewind button doesn’t work on life There’s no second chance to put things right With you, with you I’m climbing these walls, but I keep on falling I see you face and I keep on calling Your name In vain Laura, I wonder where you are tonight Laura, you’ve gone and set my heart alight I don’t know what to do Cos I really want to see you, I really want to see you again Yes I really want to see you, I really want to see you again Laura, I wonder where you are tonight Laura, you’ve gone and set my heart alight I don’t know what to do Cos I really want to see you, I really want to see you again Yes I really want to see you, I really want to see you again
