Story behind the song
I've been impressed by the first 9 verses of Chapter 15 in John. I see so clearly now that we are here to do one thing which sets off a chain reaction of a couple of good things. We are here to ABIDE in God's presence and His Word. That will result in us bearing much fruit which will result in His Father and our Father being glorified. That's it. That's the Christian life. Come in through the narrow gate and ABIDE. Along those lines, I was thinking: What does God do with all that fruit that results? Does He store it away in barns and kick back? No, of course not. He takes that fruit and feed's His children. It's all the result of abiding!
