IG is lead vocalist and leader of International Generation (http://www.facebook.com/InterGen1), a reality conscious Roots-Reggae band. Their mission is to create a more conscious society by representing and enlightening every ethnic group for the purpose of uniting us all and healing the nations with positive vibrations. The band has performed with the likes of Cedric Brooks and Kevin Batchelor of the Skatalites. Their creed reminds us to "Live each day as if it were your last. The truth shall set you free! " Manny G (or G) comes from a musical family. His father, Manolin Gonzalez, was a well-known Latin/Jazz saxophonist and flutist who played with Ismael Rivera, Tito Puente and Mario Rivera. Manny G's uncles (Jorge - Vocals & Trumpet, Odalis - Bass, Rhadames - Sax) and grandfather (Manolo - Piano) all performed together and in various groups (Orquesta Tambora, Conjunto Gonzalez, Merengue 81). Jorge had a hit Latin single, "Chupa Chupa", as did Manolin with "Tapate De La Lengua" & "Lily Baby". Manny G's mother, Rafaela, was a local singer in the Dominican Republic. Manny G has also performed as a mobile DJ, keyboardist, saxophonist, flutist, and live re-mixer.

Story behind the song
A old groove from Manny G and a stirring speech from IG gave birth to this cut.
Lyrics
I a Rastafari ! it's my duty to save Rasta nation, from descending into the dark bottomless pit of greed n madness. I don't expect to be adored n loved as a result of my sayings and doings. But I hope someday my people will see - that we can't stand by and watch our great nation, been ruined by heartless men. I ask not what for myself I can do but what I can do for my nation, to help it become an even greater Rasta nation. My actions r not for selfish reasons. Release! from the bondage I a seek fi de the people! Just like Marcus and Martin said Unification! is our only salvation In building a great Rasta nation! Speak now! Or forever cease
