Lyrics
Oh Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling, From glen to glen, and down the mountain side. The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying. 'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide. But come ye back when summer's in the meadow, Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow. 'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow. Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy I love you so. And if you come when all the flowers are dying, And I am dead, as dead I well may be, You'll come and find the place where I am lying, And kneel and say an “Ave” there for me. And I shall hear tho' soft you tread above me, And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be. For you'll bend down and tell me that you love me, And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.

Wonderfully soft vocal styling that keeps to the straight-and-narrow but lets the 'Forbes' shine through ;) Beautiful :)

Great job on one of my all time favourite songs Bob. I swear, I used to sing this song at bars and do a flute solo in the middle that actually had people in tears, this song remains very dear to my heart and you brought back so many memories with this classic.

I have to say Bob, i have heard so many versions of this song sung by folks that ruined it i was almost afraid to listen. This is honestly the best version i have ever heard. Your vocals are soft and tender and you lend a gentleness to the song that is often left out. I loved the piano and soft strings and i'd say you rang the bell with this one. Nice work! Pine
