Running In A Dream

An upbeat tune dedicated to the memory of the 15 superb years with Kiera, my black lab, and to the 'opening door' of the next stage of my family's life without her.

I have played the guitar since my early teens and for most of my adult life. It was only in 2011 that I became inspired to write a few fingerstyle pieces. I received encouragement and favourable responses from other like minded acoustic guitar enthusiasts on various forums (in particular 'Acoustic Life' (not active now) and Acoustic Soundboard) so those tunes are included here. Most were recorded using a basic Zoom H1 and some may have had a minimum amount of 'tweaking' to adjust the vagaries in this cheap device. They are only intended to be a 'notepad' and most, if not all, have been done fairly quickly and as a result are less than perfect. I hope you enjoy them. See my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MrPCT57/videos?flow=grid&view=0 Unless mentioned otherwise the acoustic guitar used is a 2008 Brook Torridge. http://www.brookguitars.com/

Story behind the song
My lovely old labrador Kiera departed on the 15th December 2012. This is an happy tune dedicated to the memory of the 15 superb years with her and to the 'opening door' of the next stage of my family's life without her. Kiera sometime used to move her legs whilst sleeping at my feet and we like to think that she was 'running in a dream'.
