Story behind the song
It's based on my relationship with my High School Sweetheart, but from what I imagine that her point of view might've actually been. We were too young for it to really be true love, so it was just a very powerful infatuation, but I didn't realize until many years after we fell apart tragically, that she could not have possibly been on the same page that I was. I didn't know how advanced my thinking was for my age. Then, when my friends' daughters reached that age, I saw how most teenagers are so clueless.
