Story behind the song
This song was two months in the writing phase, lyrically I started with an idea and then recieved some lyric via email from my friend and lyricist Will Stevens which gave me the final words to finish the song.
Lyrics
I’ve had way too much ambition It’s seems it’s led me to the ground I put myself in your position, but I had to turn around I know I’m just another number Another face without a name And I could put this all together, but we’d never be the same Hey, where did we go wrong Hey, where did we go wrong Time’s a chain we drag behind us The list of innocents betrayed We lose at love and then they find us Sitting in this mess we made Lonely veterans of our virtue Why can’t we ever sleep at night Proud ego’s floating on a moonbeam Still we must relive the fight Hey, where did we go wrong Hey, where did we go wrong I’ve had way too much ambition It’s seems it’s led me to the ground I put myself in your position, but I had to turn around I know I’m just another number Another face without a name And I could put this back together, but we’d never be the same no we’d never be the same, no we’d never be the same....
