Story behind the song
A powerful song that I'm working on, put together just a few days ago, when I realized that life is worth it and for the first time can love myself. I've been dark and stuck and alone for 13 years, unloved,and staying the same (lusty, quiet, shy, unhappy often(taking emotional abuse and occasional physical), wacky but not outgoing enough to talk to people first, friendly, but always settling for things the way they were cause I knew I wouldn't get the simple things anways...wasn't allowed them, among other things) but I won't be anymore. I've reached the point where I *can't* be that person anymore. I'm only 19 and turn 20 this year.. high school, sweet(snort)16, and 18 ment absolutely nothing to me...but turning twenty does..This song sums up my first life changing moment ever. It's like something has shifted just slightly to the left and everything just clicked right into place inside. Leaving me shocked, with this bright and beautiful sense of happiness that tells me I'm going to be okay. I'm going to be all that I can, and I for once I can see even the possiblity of future in front of me. lol. It's only taken me 20 years, but damned if it's not worth it. This song is still a work in progress, but I hope it sounds good, I'm happy with it so far. It's a shame I can't play an instrument though to back up what I'm singing.
