As a minister, he has been called the Pastor of Gospel Music and a friend to hurting people. As a preacher, he brings life changing messages- one pastor stated; “He had my people in the palm of God’s hand”. He has written syndicated columns for The Singing News, The Gospel Voice, Gospel Notes, Christian Youth Today and dozens of other publications. He has been at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Jerry Falwell, with Jack Van Impe, B.R. Lakin, G.B. Vick, Hyman Appelman and John R. Rice. His bout with Lymphoma Cancer, a terrible auto accident, the loss of his parents, 3 heart attacks, and his recovery are major influences in his life and ministry. He has varied but focused experience in his chosen field of music and ministry.
