Lyrics
I'd Love Your Heart for Christmas ©2012 by Nadia Cripps (music, piano) and Gerry Callaghan/gerrybhoy(lyrics, vocals). Snowflakes As large as lion's teeth Drift down upon The souls beneath The bitter chill Of a winter's night Is softened by The stars so bright Just above the madness In which shoppers delight The sound of children singing Come all ye faithfull Come all ye faithful I looked at you In your Tibetan hat With the flaps pulled down And I knew that Christmas time Was the perfect time To tell you Tell you I love you Tell you I love you The words fell out Over frosted lips In vapour cloud And dissapeared I lifted a flap And tried again But you just said I was tickling Then a band struck up It wasn't to be So I stayed in the moment Just you and me I thought That this was The perfect time To capture your heart And you'd take mine For Christmas Have it for Christmas We took a ride On a horse and cart Through the City's streets And how we laughed Joy filled the air Love was everywhere But my aim was off With Cupid's dart You turned to me With a smile on your face And told me there's something You wanted to say You said that this was The perfect time To tell you Tell you I love you I read your lips I'd love your heart For Christmas I read your lips I'd love your heart For Christmas
