Gretchen Langheld plays alto and soprano saxes as well as clarinet and is a dynamic composer who led her own band, House Afire, for many years.

Over the years she has performed in New York City at Town Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kitchen, P.S. 1, the JVC Jazz Festival and the Knitting Factory. Previously she composed two full-length dance scores for Neo Labos, - and - both produced at the Ohio Theatre in New York City. She has two songs, "Desire Brings You Back" and "Songs of Love", on the new Blondie CD,
