Story behind the song
Johnny reworked one of the songs he wrote and played while living in Atlanta with collegiate rockers, Acid Cabbage. The first incantation, "The Riddler," was originally written as a tribute to Frank Gorshin's portrayal of the eponymous archvillain from the 60's Batman TV series.
Johnny Sunshine recorded and produced "The Riddler Returns" to be used as musical identity for a recurring segment of a cable TV series about bikers on the Big Island of Hawai'i. This edit was the source for the portions featured during the Biker Trivia segment of each show.
