Story behind the song
Inspired by the "over the top" avante garde decadence of 18th Century French royalty under the reign of King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette...Illicit sex, drugs, booze, overindulgence, obscene opulence and extravagance, incompetent leadership, fiscal irresponsibility, ect....with dire ramifications (led directly to the storming of the Bastille, the start of the French Revolution, and the ultimate beheading of both King Louis and Marie Antoinette) A world of thanks to Butch, Cristina, and Lexi Hartley for generously providing studio space, for the amazing catering, and for even contributing to the backing vocals! You worked very hard on the French lyrics...I didn't work near that hard! We all have a roll to play...mine is to twist the theme to jazz...yours is to twist it to a ROCKING, SHREDDING, FRENZY OF NOTES! It's what makes life and challenges interesting. Great job guys!

Hey Three Frenchmen (for the CBC French Song Challenge)...You did a fantastic job in making this classic song your own Tools Classic! This song really rocks with the sounds of HOT French Nightlife. It is easy to see this song, brilliantly played by Mike, Mike, and Ken, on a Paris Rock Stage with the wild crowd goin' crazy as the music rolls on and on and on. Truly, this was a hit for the CBC French Song Challenge - a super change of pace from the fare of usual French Accordians and other typical instruments. Such French songs were also wonderful - but expected. Your Tools song was a surprise - and refreshing. Thanks for the dl. And BTY - YOUR Lyrics are also wonderful: "Jude is the Queen of the divan!"
